Participants will learn the history, theoretical basis, and structure of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) including individual and group interventions. The course will focus on providing Critical Incident Stress Management in the school setting. Participants will practice intervention strategies through observation and role play.
NOTE: All participants are expected to attend all sessions, complete all assignments and activities to complete this professional learning. This course is a prerequisite to future courses offered by the Grant Wood AEA CISM Team related to school crisis response.
