In this workshop, Erica Woods-Schmitz, IDOE Academic and Career Planning Consultant, will work with district teams to self-assess and write/revise their District Career and Academic Plan for the 23-24 school year. She will also provide guidance regarding newly required Work-based Learning tracking as well as FAFSA advisement in grades 9-12.
In addition, teams will create a timeline of activities relating to the Five Essential Components of the District Plan/ICAP, coordinate and request supports from the Workplace Learning Connection team as well as other local partners, explore Career Information Systems to best complement your plan, and gain strategies for supporting students and utilizing a student's ICAP to inform IEP transition goals.
