Structured Teaching for students with autism spectrum disorder

This class is a three day class that is based on using structured teaching and visual supports for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). It provides an in depth look at how to incorporate several components of structure for students with ASD.

The course will help participants understand what physical structure, schedules, work systems, routines, and task structure are and how to implement them with students with ASD. Participants will learn how to put visuals in place to proactively prevent behavior issues. Participants will also learn how to assess skills and to add visual structure to a variety of environments. Finally, participants will also have the opportunity to observe students with ASD use visual supports and structure in the training.

This class is appropriate for anyone living or working with a child with ASD.
